Objective

Funded through the Hawaii Tourism Authority, the Kauai Visitors Bureau oversees the majority of visitor marketing efforts for the Island of Kauai.

In late 2005 Tsunami Marketing submitted the winning bid to build the Kauai Visitors Bureau's first truly big step onto the Internet... a site which contained all the information a visitor could need.

KauaiDiscovery.com is now the foremost source of Kauai visitor information available.

Program

Tsunami Marketing built KauaiDiscovery.com from the ground up including all database design, graphic design, copy writing and photo sourcing.

The project duration was a "shorter than possible", eight weeks from RFP to public web site launch.

All areas of the site are easily editable via a web page interface. Authorized users simply log in using their unique password and make web site changes in real time.

Results

Travelers using the web to plan a vacation on Kauai now have a broad source of information with links to all the member organizations of the Kauai Visitors Bureau.

While the competition from other destinations continues to increase, the Kauai Visitors Bureau is well positioned to tune their message without re-inventing the underlying database.
