New Work
Check out some of Tsunami Marketing's latest projects:The Eco-Friendly Skies
To see Hawaii from the air is an unforgettable experience. AirVentures Hawaii offers fixed-wing tours on Kauai and Oahu. The owners recently decided it was time to take the company to the next level, and Tsunami Marketing was there to help get them off the ground.Offering daily flights of varying lengths, AirVentures Hawaii offers a bird’s eye view of the islands, while traveling in whisper-quiet, highly fuel-efficient, state-of-the-art planes. Tsunami worked with AirVentures Hawaii to define their brand position as the ecofriendly alternative to traditional Hawaii air tours. We conducted a photo shoot from the air, both on Kauai and Oahu, to demonstrate the breathtaking, panoramic views an AirVentures Hawaii flight serves up. We then set about designing a new logo, print advertising and collateral, a new web site, and plane graphics for the company. To view the finished work, log onto our web site at:

Aging Star gets a Facelift
The Visitor’s Center at Smith’s Tropical Paradise recently underwent major cosmetic surgery to refresh and rejuvenate the aging building. After years of salt air and wet weather, the 500 sq. ft. building was in need of some tender loving care. Tsunami Marketing rose to the challenge with their “brand immersion” services.“Brand Immersion is a specialty service offered by few marketing firms, and we are the pioneers of this service in Hawaii,” stated Valerie Rekward. “Our goal is to ensure that our client's brand is infused into all aspects of their business. This creates the best possible synergy between all of their marketing touch points and their target audiences,” she added.
Val and the Tsunami team—including Chris Adams, Robert Rekward, Matt Hovland and Vanessa Massoud—worked with Kamika Smith, General Manager of Smith's Motor Boat Services, Inc., to execute the transformation. One of the first steps was to quiz the staff about the elements that would make their work environment better and more efficient. This assessment, along with input from Kamika and the Smith family, was carefully considered and a plan was developed.
The building now has a new roof, new flooring, and an ADA compliant ramp, along with new windows and counters, and dynamic graphics to attract the attention of visitors looking for fun things to do in Wailua. “Kamika is such a pleasure to work with. We really appreciate his partnership and look forward to future endeavors together,” Val noted.

The Value of Great Creative
What’s the power of great creative? This question has come up recently, as many companies look for ways to cut back and hold on through the current economic challenge. But if you really explore this question, you’ll realize that you already know the answer based on your own experience.
Which ads catch your interest, both in print and online? Which landing pages stand out, make a great impression and make you click? What companies do you continue to buy from even in an economic downturn? The answer is simple. The companies you buy from are the ones that give you what you want in a way that's clear, easy, engaging, respectful, intelligent, relevant, and original.
The power of great creative is that it over-delivers. It gives respondents what they are looking for, but it also exceeds expectations. Great creative signals that you care about and respect your audience. It shows the world that you approach your work with quality and craftsmanship. Great creative affects your brand when you need it most: The moment a prospect is forming his first impression of you.
So, how much of a difference does this make? You can measure it precisely.
Put a mediocre ad and a cookie-cutter landing page up against a professionally designed challenger that's deftly executed and charged with creative electricity. Next, compare the results: click-through rate, conversion rate, return on advertising spent, and overall ROI. The lesson is clear: If you are going to hire a team to assist you with marketing, don't skimp on the creative. Hire excellent creative professionals to contribute their part to your marketing vision.
Creative design and production are skills and talents not everyone has. The best people in the field have spent years honing their craft. You wouldn't do your own dentistry, would you? If professional creative can cost-justify itself, and give your company a competitive edge, it would be economically irrational not to employ it. After all, if you are going to make an investment in your company, you might as well make it count.
